British Science Week: Medieval Paper Making

Sunday 10th March (1.30pm – 4.00pm)

Over the next 18 months Heron Corn Mill will celebrate our medieval origins with a variety of workshops and special events as part of the ‘1220 – 2020: 800 Years of Milling’ project!

Join textile artist Stella Adams-Schofield to learn all about the process of flax production, and have a go at making some hand-made paper using linen tow – a waste product created when flax is processed to make fibre – using both medieval and contemporary techniques!

This workshop is open to the general public and will run in conjunction with both of our Mill Hoppers clubs.
