In the glamorous world of the 1920’s, the First World War continues to cast a dark shadow. Revolutionary war poet, Seigfried Sassoon, still haunted by his past, his loss and his demons, meets the “Darling of the Nation”, matinee idol, Ivor Novello, composer of “Keep the Home Fires Burning”. Ivor, at the height of his fame, struggles to find inspiration for his work and bring meaning to his life. Together the pair reveal a story of an unlikely love affair of two contrasting icons against all odds. Featuring the music of Novello and the words of Sassoon to bring the romance and the hurt of the period to life.
