This National Poetry Day we celebrate the work of the Beat poets, a group of writers who explored and influenced post-World War II American culture. So join us as we host an audio and visual celebration that includes recordings of beat poem performances, and a screening of ‘The Source’, which traces the history of the Beats from Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac’s meeting in 1944 to the deaths of Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs in 1997.

Over 16’s only

Entry to this event is free, though a light Supper & Wine will be offered for £4.50. Please call or email for details.
